Have to echo the comment from Newcastle, we've just returned to Canada from 2 weeks in Samoa and can't wait to go back. The resorts, the people, the sun! Would highly recommend Virgin Cove - we stayed in the secluded fales.
Has anyone recently stayed or visited Virgin Cove Resort in regard to the state of the rebuild and repairs after the cyclone? I have just spoken to someone who stayed at VC last week. He said the accommodation both open and enclosed fales is wonderful and "it looks like" all repairs etc have been completed.

We are staying at Virgin Cove for 2 nights in June however I have just read some rather unflattering reviews that have popped up on Tripadvisor. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this place or if there are any suggestions for other acommodation nearby. You know, Virgin Cove is one of those places that people either love to bits, or don't enjoy very much!

It was a long drive down an unpaved road to a village where we had to pay 5 tala to continue on another long, unpaved road to the resort.
